GCPD Crime Report: Suspect Wanted for TD Bank Robbery Apprehended

On 12/28 at 1630 the suspect in the robbery of TD Bank was arrested without incident at 6a00d8341bf7d953ef01675f7e6cd2970b-200wia motel in Bellmawr.  Benjamin Alford (photo) of Deptford was charged with 2nd degree Robbery and Possession of CDS (heroin).  He was remanded to the Camden County Corrections Facility. 


In other matters, 


On 12/23 at 1618 officers responded to Park Ave for an assault.  The victim stated that she exited her residence and was walking to her vehicle when a black SUV passed by.  The SUV slammed on its brakes and a white male exited from the passenger side.  The unknown male then approached

the victim and began to make sexual comments to her.  The male then grabbed the victim by the hair.  The victim was able to get away and ran back into her residence.  The male and vehicle then fled the area toward Klemm Avenue. 


On 12/24 at 0921 an employee of the Patriot Car Wash on Route 130 reported that on 12/23 at 2045 two juvenile males threw a river rock through the rear window of the business causing excessive damage.


On 12/26 at 0247 an officer on patrol observed a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the Dollar General on S. Broadway.  As the officer pulled behind the vehicle, the vehicle began to reverse striking the patrol vehicle.  The driver, Danielle Tims (23) of Sewell, was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest.  She did provide breath samples at police headquarters, which did show that her blood alcohol content was .17%, above the legal limit of .08%.  Tims was charged with DWI and Careless Driving.


On 12/27 at 1026 officers responded to the 400 block of Ridgeway Street for a burglary in progress.  A witness observed a male exit the residence with a duffel bag full of copper pipes.  The male then left in a silver minivan occupied by two other males.  An officer began searching the area and located the suspect vehicle on Ferry Ave in Camden City.  As a result of the stop, officers arrested Gary Walz (28) of the 300 block of Ridgeway Street, Kenneth Applegate (31) of the 100 block of S. Sussex Street and Christopher Klemash (28) of Sicklerville.  Walz and Applegate were both charged with Burglary/Theft and remanded to the Camden County Corrections Facility.  Klemash was charged with Receiving Stolen Property and released. 


On 12/27 at 1815 an employee of Holt’s reported that between 1200 and 1800 hours unknown person(s) broke into his vehicle and stole a radio, wallet, medication and clothing. 




Additionally, officers responded to 25 domestic violence incidents, 7 motor vehicle accidents and made 20 arrests.
