Press release December 24, 2011
Nic Huynh (Nic Huynh is CQ) (DOB 9/6/70), of Monroe Township, Gloucester County NJ was killed in a two-car collision early today (12/24) on Route 322 in Monroe Township when another car crossed the median strip and struck his vehicle as he was driving home from work at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City NJ.
Following an investigation of the 3:45 a.m. crash by the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, vehicular homicide and assault by auto charges were signed against the driver of the other car, Vincent Paoline (DOB 9/5/86), of Monroe Township. The assault by auto charge resulted from the injury of Paoline's passenger, Ray Lawson (DOB 8/7/87), no address available, who was hospitalized at Cooper Medical Center in Camden NJ with a suspected fractured neck.
The crash investigation determined Paoline's car was traveling eastbound on Route 322 near Corkery Lane when it crossed into the westbound lane and struck Huynh's vehicle. Monroe Township police officers at the scene reported smelling alcohol on Paloine's breath and blood was drawn from him after he was admitted to Cooper Medical Center with injuries from the crash. It is believed Paoline was not wearing a seat belt. He was found in the back seat of his car. Lawson was in a restraint belt. Both men were trapped in the car and were extricated from it.
