We want what’s best for our pets but sometimes, unstructured feeding times or overindulgence can cause them to become obese.

Dogs will beg for food instinctively. However, if the humans of the household give in to this annoying and unhealthy habit, a dog’s bad behavior will get worse Banneruntil the family is literally fighting for its own food.

Another disadvantage to overfeeding is that Fido and Tabby will have much shorter lives if allowed to become obese. Their organs may also be affected, causing expensive and life-threatening, permanent damage to occur.

If in doubt about the proper weight for your pet, contact your veterinarian. And don’t forget, exercise is the easiest way to keep pets—and their humans—in good shape!
