Please come out to welcome home Specialist Tony Kelly Jr. from his deployment in Iraq.
- Tony is returning from Iraq where he spent a year being deployed.
- Tony will be 24 years old in a few days.
- He was raised in Sicklerville, New Jersey and attended school in the Winslow Township School District.
- Tony joined the U.S. Army in October of 2009 and completed basic training at Fort Knox.
- During his deployment to Iraq, Tony was awarded an Army Accommodation Medal (ARCOM) and was also coined by a General for outstanding performance.
- In addition, he was promoted from Private First-Class to Specialist.
- Tony comes from a family proudly serving their country: both maternal great-grandfathers served in the United States Army. Both of his grandfathers have served in the Army and four of his uncles have served in the U.S. Navy. Currently, his great-uncle, YN1 (SW) Kristopher Wilson, is active in the United States Navy and has completed 1 tour of duty in Afghanistan, 2 in Iraq, and is scheduled to leave shortly for his fourth overseas tour! Another uncle, Dr. Kenneth Smith, is a former Commander in the United States Navy and has been very instrumental in providing guidance and support to Tony since he made the decision to enter the military.
- Younger brother, Damir currently serves in the U.S. Air Force.
Tony is currently stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, where he resides with his wife, Mariyah, and daughter, Camryn.
Friends, Family, The Warriors Watch, A Hero’s Welcome, The Yellow Ribbon Club, The New Jersey State Police, Winslow Township Police Department, Winslow Township Fire Department, Winslow Township, and others will be on hand to make some noise and welcome home this Hero in Rock Star style.
