GCPD Crime Report: Jewelry Robber Arrested-cnbnews.net

On 10/21 at 1359 officers responded to two residences on Lane Ave for a theft of jewelry.  Both victims stated that Christopher Golding (20) of Lane Ave had stolen jewelry from their homes and sold it at a local pawn shop.  Officers were able to locate the stolen jewelry with receipts showing Christopher Golding as the seller.  Officers located the suspect at his residence and took him into custody. 

 

Golding did give a full statement regarding his actions and was subsequently charged with two counts of Theft.  Golding was remanded to the Camden County Corrections Facility after failing to post bail on the charges.

 

In other matters,

 

On 10/23 at 1215 CW Clarke on Route 130 reported that sometime overnight a 6a00d8341bf7d953ef01157231bb93970b-120wi 2004 Chrysler minivan was stolen from the lot.

 

ON 10/23 at 1604 a resident of the 200 block of Powell Street reported that sometime between 10/09 and 10/23 jewelry was stolen from her residence.  The stolen jewelry was located at an area pawn shop with receipts indicating the seller.  James King (32) of the 200 block of Powell Street was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property.

 

On 10/24 at 1512 Maladrique Wilson (25) of the 300 block of Market Street was arrested on Broadway and Somerset Street on an outstanding warrant.  Wilson was found to be in possession of three bags of marijuana and was charged accordingly.  He was remanded to the Camden County Corrections Facility after failing to post bail on the warrant.

 

On 10/24 at 2337 officers responded to Burlington and Ridgeway Streets for a robbery.  On arrival the victim, identified as Tito Diaz (25) of the 300 block of Bergen Street, stated that he was robbed by unknown people.  Diaz was highly intoxicated and began to give conflicting accounts of what happened.  When questioned further, Diaz became belligerent toward officers and began to reach into his waistband as if reaching for a weapon.  Diaz was restrained and taken into custody.  He was charged with Disorderly Conduct and released.

 

On 10/25 at 0321 an officer doing a property check at Freedom Pier located James Starr (61) of Camden City sleeping on a bench.  Starr was issued a summons for Lounging in a public area and released.

 

On 10/26 at 2347 officers responded to the 200 block of 3rd Street for a fight.  On arrival they observed John Schultz (38) of the 200 block of 3rd Street starting a fight with another male.  Schultz was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

On 10/27 at 0039 officers responded to Cedarwood Ave for female under the influence of CDS.  Melissa Zsirai (29) of Deptford stated that she was hallucinating after smoking crack and methamphetamine.  She attempted to run from officers after an ambulance was called, running into a residence on the street.  Zsirai was located and placed into custody.  She was charged with Being Under the Influence of CDS.

 

Additionally, officers responded to 9 motor vehicle accidents, 10 domestic violence incidents, and made 18 arrests during the week.
