The Baird Boulevard Bridge will be closed for approximately three months while structural repairs are made to the span over the Cooper River in Camden. “We appreciate the patience and understanding of area residents during this repair and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works.
A temporary detour route has been posted at the bridge, directing motorists to use Admiral Wilson Boulevard and Kaighn Avenue.
“The bridge was inspected by structural engineers and reviewed by both the Federal and State Departments of Transportation,” said Freeholder Leonard. “Based on their findings, we made the determination to close the bridge during the repairs.”
