(cnbnews.net)Now that the kids are back to school and are spending l ess time outside, Fido may be getting restless. After all, he had lots of fun in the sun all summer long and now, there may be less time to interact with him. Here are a few things you can do to get some exercise and pay attention to your best buddy, too:
- Make yard chores a family affair. As you are raking leaves, allow Fido to be a part of the activities!
- Spend some time at a park looking at the fall foliage as you hike with your pet.
- Since it gets dark sooner, take a laser or a small flashlight outside so Fido can chase the beam—he’ll have a great time while you are seated comfortably in a chair.
These simple ideas will help strengthen the bond you have with your dog so be sure he knows how much you care by spending time with him!
Next week’s topic will be your choice so send me an email with a topic you’d like to discuss! Brotherofthewolf@comcast.net . As always Cleary’s notebook encourages dialogue so your comments are welcome!
