Brooklawn scored in each of its first four turns at the plate and added two more in the sixth for an 8-0 lead. Boyertown didn't get going until the seventh inning by that point it was too late. The final 9-5.
In the first inning John Brue a left-handed first baseman put Brooklawn on the score board with a home run (his HR is shown on the video). Brue, who also plays baseball at Gloucester Catholic High School, was a first-team All-South Jersey selection as a junior. He has committed to attend St. Joseph's on a baseball scholarship, according to Brooklawn/Gloucester Catholic coach Dennis Barth.
Brooklawn was to face Middletown, Delaware Saturday night, a team they defeated 6-5 on the opening day (Thursday) of the tournament.
