On August 18, 2011, passed away following a lengthy illness. Age 86, Formerly of Philadelphia and Marlton, NJ. Loving and devoted husband of 56 years to Evelyn D. (nee Fabrizi). Loving father of Louis T. Savino, Jr., Esq. (Whitney)  and Lorraine Sikora (Thomas) of Newtown, PA. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Sikora. Predeceased by his loving grandchildren Louis T. Savino, III and Allison Savino.  Louis was born in Brooklyn, NY to Michael and Grace Savino.

He proudly served our country and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 20 years of service in the U.S. Navy. During his tour of duty he was stationed in many European countries and also the Pentagon in Washington, DC.  Louis started the Chief Petty’s Officer Club at the Philadelphia Navy Yard in the 1950’s. Following his naval career, he was the owner of Bongiovanni Medical Supplies in Philadelphia for 38 years, the President of Rayo Chemical Company and for the last 18 years, he worked in the Men’s Department at Macy’s in Cherry Hill.  Louis was a Past President of the Lions Club in Philadelphia. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Tuesday, August 23 from 10 to 11:15 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church: 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM in the Church. Interment with U.S. Navy Honors in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Majestic Oaks Nursing Home Activities Fund: 333 Newtown Road, Warminster, PA 18974.
