Earn a Rutgers Degree at Camden County College
Anyone looking to build a Camden County College associate degree into a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, will be able to do so on Camden County College’s Blackwood Campus beginning this fall.  Available are a program leading to a bachelor of arts degree in liberal studies and a program for registered nurses who want to earn a bachelor of science degree in nursing.  “The Rutgers at Camden County College initiative will allow students to earn a high-quality bachelor’s degree while staying close to where they live and work,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to Camden County College.  Additional information is available online at http://camdencc.rutgers.edu or by calling Rutgers–Camden at (856) 225-6135.

Career Training at the Technical Institute of Camden County
Training in a range of occupations is now being offered by the Technical Institute of Camden County under the administration of Camden County College.  Adults interested in completing any of the nearly two dozen TICC programs may enroll now for Fall 2011. Course sessions begin at various dates in September, depending on program selected. Daytime and evening courses are available.  Classes will be held at the TICC, located at 343 Berlin-Cross Keys Road in Sicklerville. Animal Shelter Welfare Association Challenge

Freeholders to Meet in Berlin Township
The Camden County Freeholder Board invites you to a Town Meeting on Thursday, August 18, 6:30 PM at the Berlin Township Municipal Building, 135 Route 73 South, Berlin Township.  The Freeholder Board looks forward to providing you with greater access to your county government.  The Town Meeting is an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to you and your family.  At 7:00 PM, the Freeholder Board will hold its regular monthly meeting, which you are also invited to attend.

Free Senior Citizen Legal Workshops
The Camden County Freeholder Board’s Division of Senior & Disabled Services and the Surrogate’s Office will hold free legal workshops for senior and disabled residents to receive a Last Will and Testament, an Advance Directive for Health Care (Living Will) and Power of Attorney.   The workshops will take place at the County Store at Voorhees Town Center at 2:00 PM on August 8 and 15.  Space is limited; you must register at (856) 566-2920.

Library System Summer Book Sale
The Bellmawr Branch of the Camden County Library System will hold a Summer Clearance Book Sale from August 11 to 13 at 35 E. Browning Road in Bellmawr.   The sale offers bargains on books, VHS tapes, audio tapes and music CDs for all ages with most items priced between fifty-cents to three dollars.  “Members of the VolunTeens group will be on hand to help run the sale, the proceeds of which will go to support teen programming for the library system,” said Freeholder Ian Leonard, liaison to the Library System.
