(CNBNEWS.NET)Gloucester City resident Tom Gurick met Miss America on Saturday just prior to the Air National Guard Bank concert held at the USS NJ in Camden City.
Miss America 2011 is Teresa Scanlan, age 18 of Gering Nebraska. Her platform issue was Eating Disorders: A Generation at Risk. She wants to attend law school, become a judge and eventually a politician.
Tom no doubt gave her some tips on being a politician. He is a former Gloucester City Councilman and Camden County Freeholder.
