A member Valley Forge Fire Company died after suffering a heart attack Monday, just hours after responding to a fatal crash.
Fire Police Lieutenant John Lockovic, 51, was found in cardiac arrest by responders from West End Ambulance and was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
He had responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in Pennsbury Township that occurred just before 2:30 p.m. before leaving the scene.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
