Final MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings; Gloucester Catholic Ranked 9th

- MaxPreps News There are only two changes to the final MaxPreps Xcellent 50 National Baseball Rankings, with state champions from Indiana and Georgia joining this week's list.
Carroll (Fort Wayne, Ind.) defeated Indianapolis Cathedral 5-3 to capture the Indiana 4A state championship for the second straight season. Carroll replaces the Fighting Irish in the rankings, coming in at No. 32.
Portage Central (Mich.) dropped out of this week's rankings after falling in the Michigan Division I semifinals. Columbus (Ga.), the Georgia AAA champion, moves into the rankings at No. 37. Columbus had a win over Pace (Fla.) during the season and also had wins over Georgia AAAAA champion Parkview and AAAA champ Marist.
Broken Arrow finishes the season ranked No. 1, a position it has held since winning the Oklahoma 6A state championship over Owasso in early May.
A final Xcellent 100 will appear in mid-July.

Nevada 4A state champions. Season over.
8. (8) Alonso (Tampa, Fla.), 23-5
Florida 6A state champions. Season over.
9. (9) Gloucester Catholic (Gloucester City, N.J.), 31-2
New Jersey Non-Public B champions. Season over.
10. (10) Washington (New York City), 45-2
