Devoted public servant and Rotarian, Eric P. Fetterolf, received the coveted Paul Harris Award posthumously by the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International on July 6, 2011.
The award is named after Rotary Founder Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905.
He was nominated by the Rotary Club of Gloucester City, which contributed $1,000 to Rotary International in honor of Mr. Fetterolf’s devotion to humanitarian ideals.
The late Mr. Fetterolf was a Past-President of the Rotary Club of Gloucester City, and he continued to assist the Club in its public-service and scholarship projects over the years.
Mr. Fetterolf died suddenly on August 28, 2010, but his memory lives on through this award, which will assist people all over the world through Rotary International’s many charitable projects.
Monica Kenney Fetterolf accepted the award on behalf of her late husband.
The Paul Harris Award is given in appreciation of “tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world.”
