WL4A Support Ad Gloucester City Police Report on 07/26 at 2328 officers responded to Burlington and Middlesex Street after a female reported that she was threatened with a knife.  The victim stated that she observed two females arguing when one turned toward her and told her to mind her own business.  The female then threatened to  “shoot up” the victim’s residence.  The brother of the suspect then produced a knife and began to waive it around, continually threatening the victim.  A second female suspect then threatened to assault the victim if she did not leave the area.  Officers located all three suspects at Filmore and Warren Streets.  All were positively identified and placed under arrest.  Michael Burgos (19) of the 300 block of Middlesex Street and his sister, Yasmin Burgos (20) of the 200 block of N. Broadway, were both charged with Terroristic Threats.  Carol Schmidt (24) of Brooklawn was charged with Harassment.

On 07/22 at 1335 hours a motor vehicle stop on Market Street at Walnut Ave led to the arrest of Danielle Brago (19) of Barrington and Antonio Scordo (25) of Paulsboro.  Brago was found to be in possession of 1 bag of heroin, 2 hypodermic syringes and 11 empty heroin bags.  Scordo was found to be in possession of 1 empty heroin bag.  Both were charged and released.

 

On 07/22 1943 officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Mercer Street for a suspicious male seen going in and out of rear yards in the area.  Officers located the male on Mercer and Railroad.  Luis Cedeno (29) of Camden was found to be in possession of 1 bag of marijuana.  He was charged and released.

 

On 07/22 at 2135 it was reported that unknown person(s) entered a vacant property on the 300 block of Morris Street and removed all of the copper pipes and bath fixtures causing flooding inside the residence.

 

On 07/22 at 2356 an officer observed Jason Savage (29) of Pennsauken consuming beer while walking in the area of Broadway and Middlesex.  Savage was charged with Drinking in Public.

 

On 07/23 at 1440 a resident of the 200 block of N. Willow Street reported that while at Propietor’s Park unknown person(s) stole her handbag containing various medications and identification.

 

On 07/23 at 1646 a resident of the 400 block of Bergen Street reported that sometime between 2300 hours on 07/22 and midnight unknown person(s) entered his bedroom and stole a large amount of cash.  The victim did have friends inside the residence during the night.

 

On 07/23 at 1936 officers responded to Maple Terrace Trailer Park for a fight.  On arrival, officers separated the combatants and placed both under arrest.  James Williams (46) of Maple Terrace and Josh Allen (24) of the 100 block of S. Burlington Street were both charged with Disorderly Conduct.

 

On 07/24 at 1719 a resident of Cedarwood Ave reported that she and her husband were outside getting Mr. Softee when unknown suspect entered their residence and stole medication and jewelry.  The couple did confront the suspect while inside the residence, however, he fled through a rear door.  Officers searched the area, however, no suspect was located.

 

On 07/24 at 1746 a second resident of Cedarwood Ave reported that unknown person(s) forced entry into the residence and stole money.

 

On 07/24 at 2148 officers were dispatched to Koehler and Lane for a report of juveniles writing graffiti on the railroad crossing.  An officer located the juveniles at the Citgo on Broadway and Market Street.  As a result a 17y/o male from the 700 block of Hunter Street was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief.

 

On 07/26 at 0649 it was reported that sometime between 07/20 and 07/25 unknown person(s) entered a vacant property on the 500 block of Chambers Ave and removed the copper pipes.

On 07/27 at 0750 a motor vehicle stop on Broadway and Mercer led to the arrest of Jeffrey Reed (41) of Audubon Park.  Reed was found to be in possession of 1 bag of crack cocaine and a glass smoking pipe. 

 

On 07/27 at at 0834 Delaware Valley Irrigation on the 300 block of S. Broadway reported that sometime on 07/26 unknown person(s) entered their secure yard and stole $1000 worth of scrap copper.  There were no signs of forced entry onto the property.

 

On 07/27 at 2305 officers responded to the Dining Car Depot for a report of juveniles throwing rocks at the business.  The juveniles fled prior to police arrival, but were located in front of the library.  A 13y/o male from the 800 block of Bergen, a 15y/o male from the 200 block of Middlesex and a 16y/o male from Birch Ave were all charged with curfew violations.  No damage was found at the Dining Car Depot.

 

In addition, officers responded to 12 motor vehicle accidents, 8 domestic violence complaints, and made 32 arrests during the week.

 

THOSE CHARGED ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
