The 2nd annual New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo slated for September 17 and 18, 2011 is rapidly approaching. The Expo hosts, DEP's Divisions of Fish and Wildlife and Parks and Forestry, the Green Acres Program, and the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, are looking for volunteers excited by the thought of helping people connect to the natural world.
The Expo is a free event that seeks to help people connect with the natural world by providing a unique blend of conservation information, education and hands-on opportunities to learn outdoor skills and activities. Visitors can learn about and try a wide array of activities including fishing, hiking, shooting sports, kayaking, rock climbing, camping skills, wildlife watching and much more.
The Expo will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 17 and 18, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily at the Colliers Mills Wildlife Management Area in Jackson Township, Ocean County.
