Shelby American Legion World Series Committee members and Cleveland County residents are counting down the days until the 2011 World Series, Aug. 12-16. Moreover, committee members are finalizing all vital details surrounding the exciting event, including stadium renovations, military needs, food vendors and much more.

But in the midst of checking off their to-do list, committee members and North Carolina Legionnaires took a few minutes to share the positive transformation the community of Shelby has experienced since becoming home to the Legion Baseball World Series.
