Welcome Home TSGT Michael Costello of Marlton

Please come out to welcome home Tsgt. Michael Costello.  Michael has quite a military history.  He is 38 years old.  His journey with the military started in the 1991 when he joined the US Marine Corps.  He worked in Geographic Intelligence and was part of “Operation Restore Democracy” in Haiti on USS Wasp.  While stationed in Okinawa Japan as well as a Marine, Michael served in “Operation Team Spirit” in Pohang South Korea.  Michael was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps with high honors in 1995.  


Michael joined the Air National Guard in 2000.  He is a Tech Sgt with the 177th Fighter Wing Civil Engineering Squadron out of Egg Harbor Twp NJ.  He serves as an Engineering Assistant and as an additional duty for the Civil Engineering he serves as the Unit Career Advisor.  While with the 177th Air Wing he was part of “Task Force Diamond” in Yuma, Arizona where he helped construct the Mexican Wall Border.  He has been deployed this time since December 2010 for Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation New Dawn and was based in Kuwait.  

While serving his country, Michael has studied online with University of Notre Dame to finish his Masters Degree in engineering.  

He married in 2001 to Melissa and they have 3 children; Demitrius, Isabella, and Sophia Rose.  They live in Marlton NJ.

Michael was very much missed by his family, friends, church, neighbors and community.  Please join Evesham Fire-Rescue, Evesham Police Department, Yellow Ribbon Club, Warrior Watch Riders & Friends in giving this hero a nice LOUD welcome home and thanks for your service.  We look forward to seeing you.
