Rams Moving Ahead with Athletic Complex; Camden Diocese Has Money to Spend

Dear Alumni and Friends of Saint Mary Grammar School - cnbnews.net

Dear Friends:

We read about miracles regularly in the Bible.   But how many of us believe Hand-writing in real modern day miracles?

I can tell you from a personal perspective that my family experienced one this past fall when my nephew was tragically injured in an accident.  Doctors did not expect him to survive the night.  But through the many, many prayers, the help of so many wonderful people, and the will and grace of God, my nephew is alive and well.

Now, I am asking you to participate in another kind of miracle.  The Bishop announced on May 20, 2011 that the diocese intends to close Saint Mary's School at the end of this school year. This devastated the St. Mary's community, as it came as such a shock.

But, we are also from Gloucester and that means we are not giving up nor are we going down without a fight.  A grassroots organization of parents, teachers, students, and alumnihas formed to try to keep the school open.  We have already received over $50,000 in pledges from family and friends

Now we are expanding our efforts to reach other alumni and friends.  We need to raise $300,000 by the end of June, 2011 in order to have the funds to keep St. Mary's open for another year and to give us time to find additional sources of funding for the school.

Can you pledge your support to  Saint Mary's?  We are asking only for pledges at this time as we are unable to accept cash or checks due to legal reasons. Once we know that our efforts will be fruitful, we will follow up with a request for the donation.

We are the ones who have benefited from a wonderful education at St. Mary's.  We are the ones who know how much our education has affected our lives.  Therefore, we are the ones who need to support this effort to keep the school open.  How much does the education you received at St. Mary's mean to you?

Please fill out the enclosed pledge card and return it to us with the amount you can pledge and return it as soon as possible.   You may also email us at[email protected]

If it is not possible for you to contribute at this time., please pray for Saint Mary's.  The power of prayer is divine.

Thank you for any contributions that you can make.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at the above email address or visit the facebook page started by parents - Save St. Mary's School in Gloucester - to see the activities planned for this effort.

 Sincerely,
