Why Am I Running for the Board of Education? Spotlight on Rocco R. Vespe

MOUNT EPHRAIM NJ -Rocco R. Vespe, PE, FCMAA is a Director of the Philadelphia office of Images Trauner Consulting Services, Inc.  He has over 40 years of construction management experience including 15 years as a successful contractor and 20 years of construction consulting including owner’s representation, project management, construction management, estimating, schedule analysis, dispute resolution, claims evaluation, partnering, and expert testimony.  Mr. Vespe has a degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University and is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Maine, Florida, and Connecticut.  He co-authored Construction Estimates from Take- off to Bid for McGraw-Hill.  Mr. Vespe is a Fellow of the Construction Management Association of America and is currently the President of the Mid Atlantic Chapter.  

 

Rocco has been a resident of Mt. Ephraim for over 50 years and lives on James Street with his wife of 40 years, Nancy.  He has a daughter, Kristin, and a granddaughter, Olivia. Rocco has been a member of the Mt. Ephraim School Board for over 20 years.  As a result of his significant experience in construction, during his tenure on the Board, Rocco has provided advice and recommendations to the Board and the Administration on matters involving construction and maintenance.  He has chaired the Property Committee for many years, and is a member of the Instruction Committee.  He also serves as the Board’s delegate to the New Jersey School Boards Association. 

 

Mr. Vespe is a strong advocate of Quality Education.  He can always be counted on to make sure that the excellent level of education provided to children of Mt. Ephraim is maintained, even in these tight economic times and in spite of budget cuts. 

 

Mr. Vespe is also a member of the New Jersey School Boards Association, the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials, and the New Jersey Association of School Business Officials. He is also a member of the Mt. Ephraim Democrat Club.
