Having debuted in the 1930s as an extension of Philadelphia’s New Year’s Day celebration, the Philadelphia Mummers’ String Band Association’s “Show of Shows” has been entertaining generations with its family-oriented, fun and glittering performances.

The String Band Division is one of five divisions that perform each year in the Mummers Parade.  The String Band Division’s central theme focuses on the music, costumes and presentations of the groups of 48 or more musicians.
