IMG_0980 Joseph E. Miller Sr., On November 24, 2010. Age 72. Of Gloucester City. Loving Husband of 45 years to the late Gertrude “Trudy” (nee Shaffer). Loving father of Joe E. Jr. (Mary), Lisa M. Poe (Rob), Bill (Shawn) and John Miller. Best friends of Dawn and Jack Markiewicz and children. Loving grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 7. Dear brother of Hank Miller (Keiko), the late Rose Collins and Roni Arrera (Tom). Special “Grandpop Miller” of many neighborhood kids.

Joe was a 1955 graduate of Gloucester High School. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Tin Can Sailors. Joe retired from the Ironworkers Local 399. He was a “Geezer” in the Gloucester City Breakfast Club. Joe was an avid fan of Nascar and enjoyed his trips to the casinos.

Relatives, friends and Ironworkers Local  # 399 are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church. Interment with U.S. Navy honors, New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
