Joseph B. Collins Sr., of Lake Harmony PA , formerly of Gloucester City; Past President of Hospital Engineers Association of Southern NJ
On November 19, 2010. Age 65. Of Lake Harmony, PA. Formerly of Gloucester City. Loving Husband of 44 years to Edna F. (Nee Kraft). Beloved father of Joseph B. Collins, Jr. (Bridget), John Collins, Mark Collins (Joann) and Maureen Collins. Devoted Brother of Jack Collins, Bernard Collins, Eileen Collins and the late Donna Collins. Cherished Grandfather of Alyssa, Joseph B. III, Mary Kathryn, Dominic and Margaret Anne “Maggie” Collins. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was the former Director of Plant Engineering at Virtua Health Systems (West Jersey Hospital) in Voorhees NJ, Past President of the Hospital Engineers Association of Southern NJ and Delaware Valley, and ASHE member.

Marion B. Rowan, of Gloucester City, Past St. Mary School Cafeteria Manager, Graduate of Gloucester Catholic HS Class of 1944
Marion B. Rowan died on November 19, 2010. (nee Bignell) Age 83. Of Gloucester City. Loving wife of 55 years to the late Patrick J. Rowan, Sr. Cherished mother of Patrick J. Rowan, Jr. of Oaklyn, Thomas E. Rowan of Pennsauken, Kathleen Rowan of Gloucester City and Maryann (William P.) Hook of Gilbertsville, PA. Devoted grandmother of Patricia Marie Hook. Dear Sister of Claire (Henry) Murphy and Beloved Sister-in-law Margaret Keenan of Gloucester City, the late Edward Bignell, the late Jane and Albert Babcock. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was a longtime and devoted friend to Sister Christine and Sister Nora. She was born, raised and lived her entire life in Gloucester City.
Marion was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School Class of 1944. She was active with the High School Sorority and was Past President of Gloucester Catholic PTA. Marion was Recording Secretary/ Regent for Diocese of Camden PTA. She started in Saint Mary’s School Library and then became Cafeteria Manager at the School and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. Marion was a devoted lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Mrs. Winifred A. Deal, US Navy WW II Veteran, Active in the Haddonfield and Audubon Methodist Churches
Winifred A. Deal (nee Shimmin), age 91, recently of Collingswood, formerly of Audubon, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center on Thursday November 18, 2010.
Winnie was born in 1919 in Haddonfield, NJ to the late Ernest and Florence Shimmin. She is a US Navy veteran serving during WWII (1943 to 1945). She was stationed in the United States and spent most of 1945 in Pearl Harbor. She was a member of Haddonfield United Methodist Church where she was married, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school classes. After marrying, Winnie and Warren moved to Audubon to raise their family. There, she joined the Audubon United Methodist Church, where she was very active for many years. Mrs. Deal was a member and a Past Worthy Matron of the Audubon OES#191, a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Knights Templar, Cyrene Commandry, and a member of the VFW Socialites of Haddon Heights.
Mrs. Deal is the beloved wife of the late Warren E. Deal, loving mother of Edward (Gerry) of Seattle, WA, Donald (Cherie) of Whitewater, WI, and John (Etheljean) of Haddonfield, NJ. She is the proud grandmother of 4 and the dear aunt of 21 nieces and nephews. Winnie is also the sister of the late Fred Shimmin, Margaret Sheppard of Marlton, Bill (Nina) Shimmin of Willingboro, and Dick (Gerri) Shimmin of Folsom, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to remember and pay tribute to Winnie on Monday evening from 6-8pm at the HENRY FUNERAL HOME, 152 W. Atlantic Ave., Audubon, where an Order of the Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday 10am at the Audubon United Methodist Church where friends may call after 9am. Burial with military honors will follow at Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations in Winifred's memory can be made to Audubon United Methodist Church, W. Graisbury and Wyoming Avenue, Audubon, NJ 08106.
