 Suddenly, On November 22, 2010. Age 74. Of Woodbury. Formerly of Cape May and Gloucester City. Loving and devoted husband of 20 years to Reta (nee Magoun) and the late Gail Sweeney. Loving father of Theresa Netz (Bruce), Daniel (Shayla), Kellie Ann (James) Blymer, Sean, Mark, Luis David (Sam), Thomas and Jeffrey (Kelly). Predeceased by his son, Edward Jr. (surviving Sarah) and granddaughter Katie. Loving and cherished grandfather of Jason, Jesse, Carlie, Jenai, Brandon, Olivia, Riley, Alexandra, Veronica, Chloe, Julia, Christopher, Kari and Kyle. Loving great-grandfather of Jay and Addelynn. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Sweeney and his sister Leona Sweeney.

Ed worked 25 years as a mechanical inspector for the Philadelphia Naval Yard. He was a third degree Knight in the Gloucester City Knights of Columbus Council #674.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Saturday morning from 10 AM to 12 Noon at St. Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon in the church. Inurnment private New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
