One bond ordinance will appropriate $220,000 towards construction of 1,192 feet of roadway construction on East Olive Street. A general obligation bond or bond anticipation note in the aggregate principal amount of up to $42,750 was approved for the project. This program gives parents the option of sending their children to participating schools outside of their home district. Even if a school district does not participate, it still must choose between allowing up to 10 percent per grade level or 15 percent of total population to enroll in School Choice districts. In an effort to increase safety, the Board of Commissioners approved a "no left turn" restriction for vehicles turning onto Black Horse Pike from 4th Avenue. I am storagely disabled. There’s nowhere to store the turkey or any other perishable, holiday-related item. And it’s only going to get worse as Thanksgiving draws near. Bellmawr Fire Chief Jim Burleigh presented the awards to Michael Cox Jr. and Charles “CJ” Ruff. They were honored for saving the life of Joseph Toomey, who went into cardiac arrest August 4. Officer.com News A Crawford County corrections officer died yesterday after being attacked by an inmate in October, according to The Erie Times-News. Officer Cary M. Chapin, 49, was attacked by 24-year-old Gregory G. Brown on Oct. 13 at the correctional facility in Saegertown. He did not regain consciousness following the attack and was pronounced dead at approximately 2:40 a.m. at the Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville. The inmate was charged with aggravated assault, assault by a prisoner and reckless endangerment following the incident. Recently my neighborhood was re assessed and on this past Friday I received the information that has caused myself some concern. The Camden County Board of taxation has doubled the assessed value of my house which now has added well over 500.00 dollars a year to my property tax bill.
