Matthew C. Hus of Audubon, Member of Carpenters Union Local 393


  A Funeral Mass was celebrated at the Holy Maternity Church of the Emmaus Catholic R2 Community, Audubon, for Matthew C. Hus, 21, a lifelong resident of Audubon, who passed away suddenly on September 4, 2010.


  Matthew was a 2008 graduate of Audubon High School where he played on the football team. He worked for Carpenter’s Union Local 393 in Gloucester City where he has been involved for over a year with the construction of the new Virtua Hospital in Voorhees. Matthew enjoyed hunting, skiing and fishing as well as following football and participating in fantasy football leagues. In addition, he was an avid Phillies fan and attended many of their home games. 


  Matthew is the beloved son of Marek and Emilie E. Hus. He is the devoted brother of Helena Hus-Egnatuk (husband Anthony) and the devoted godfather of Anthony Egnatuk, Jr. He is also lovingly survived by his paternal grandmother, Jamina Hus of Haddon Township and his uncle, Jacek Hus of Cherry Hill. He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Walter Hus; his maternal grandparents, Alberta and David Evans of Oaklyn and his uncle and godfather, Andrew Hus.

  Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Chews Landing.
