Early this morning Task Force 32 was dispatched to the 300 block of Saunders Avenue for a reported dwelling fire. Squad 32 arrived with a 1 1/2 story SFD with fire showing from Division C.
Crews discovered the deck in the rear of the property was heavily involved with extension into the main structure. Crews used 2 1 3/4 lines to bring the fire quickly under control at the 20 minute mark. 2 adults and 2 children escaped unharmed. The Camden County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause. Nice job by all companies.
While units were responding to the job on Saunders, Dispatch notified Battalion 303 ( Griffith) that they were sending out another box for an Apartment fire on the other side of town. 401 (Gilmore) along with Squad 51 (Gloucester City) and Ladder 73 (Westville) handled a malfunctioning A/C unit that resulted in a smoke condition in the apartment. Again nice job by all.
