Joseph Raymond was taken from this earth on Monday, May 17, 2010 at the age of
39. Formerly of Gloucester City and Tabernacle, N.J., Joseph was loved by his mother and father, Joan (Decker) and Joseph William, dearest brother Jesse, father of Ashlee and Olivia Nicole. Grandparent’s: Raymond J. and Mary Decker, Brooklawn and Joseph’s guardian Angel’s, Joseph Henry and Eleanor (MomMom) Barton. Aunt’s and Uncle’s: Virginia (Decker) and William DeLong, Haddonfield; Godmother, Sharon (Barton) and Jon Pishko, Moorestown; Roxanne (Barton) and Edward Kureck, Gibbstown; Eleanor (Barton) and Eugene Hammel, Washington Township; Monica (Barton) and Augustus Sortino, Eagleville, Pa.; Bruce Barton, Gloucester City; Godfather, Fred Decker, Millville; Timothy (Barton) and Debbie Mason, Waterford, Craig (Barton) and Donna Aldridge, Gloucester City and Kenny and Diane Ahearn, Lumberton. Cousin’s: Christian, Lauren, Roxanne, Patrick, Tara, Edward, Sharon, Jerome, Joel, Glen, Carley, Timothy, Bruce, Monica, Keith, Dean, Angela, Augustus and Lisa, Faith and David. Great Aunt’s and Uncle’s: Virginia Hoffman, Joyce Kowalski, Edward McMahon, Clarence (Bud) and Jean Reese and many second cousin’s and friends.
Joseph was a skilled craftsman. Having experience and knowledge in many building
trades, he was proficient and very productive and could build almost anything. He loved the outdoors, especially the New Jersey Pinelands and fishing. Joseph had a deep belief in God, Jesus Christ and Angel’s.
Joseph’s viewing and cremation will be private. At which time a family service and blessing of Joseph Raymond will be performed by close family friend Monsignor Michael Mannion.
On June 19, 2010 at 10AM, family and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s Christian Memorial Mass, which will be celebrated at the Mary Queen of All Saints Parish (old Saint Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church), 4824 Camden Ave., Pennsauken, N.J.
Joseph’s burial will immediately follow at the New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, N.J. and will be celebrated by Monsignor Michael Mannion.
At the request of Joseph’s family, in lieu of flowers, donations in Joseph’s name would be appreciated to Discovery Ministries, Inc., 106 Vesper Avenue, Westmont, N.J. 08108-2438. STAINKER (McATEER), Dorothy On May 20,2010, of Westville formerly of Gloucester City, NJ, age 81 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul A. Stainker Loving mother of Paul C. Stainker, James and Joseph McAteer, Tracey Stainker, Nancy Love and Leslie Smith and cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Dot worked for many years as a waitress in a variety of Country Clubs, Restaurants and Diners in the area. She was also an avid collector of ornamental spoons.
