Starting May 28, the McGovern Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Those hours will be in effect through June 30. The museum will be open on Memorial Day.

Between July 1 and Sept. 6, operating hours for the museum will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

The museum will be featuring additional programming by hosting two exhibits in the late summer and early fall.

From Aug. 14-29, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will provide several items for display in the museum.  In addition, the recorded ceremonial first pitch at Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Little League Baseball World Series will take place aboard the International Space Station and be seen on the scoreboard video screen at Little League Volunteer Stadium.

Following Labor Day, the museum will be featuring a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution titled, “Beyond Baseball: The Life of Roberto Clemente.”

For those who do not qualify for the Blue Star Museum program, admission to the museum is $5 for those 14 and older; $1.50 for children ages 5-13; and $3 for senior citizens (62 and over). Children age 4 and younger are admitted free of charge.
