Attention Gloucester City Residents! SNOW EMERGENCY
Tuesday, February 09, 2010
Dear Resident:
With the expected snow storm tomorrow (Wednesday, February 10) we are asking for your help. Camden County has requested all residents to refrain from parking on any county roadway so that the plows can do their job. The City of Gloucester is asking you to please clear your walk way when the snow stops so that residents and school children will have a safe path to work and school.
I would also like to remind you to remove any snow from the roof of your vehicle prior to leaving your house. This is a new law that took effect this year due to the many injuries from blowing ice and snow from the roof of vehicles. We are asking everyone to refrain from throwing the snow back into the streets, this causes major ruts and could potentially cause an accident. Finally, please refrain from driving unless it is an emergency because we need to keep the streets clear so that the city plows can clear the streets more efficiently.
Thank You
