INTERACT ADVISOR THANKS ALL

As the GHS Interact Club Advisor, I have the opportunity to work closely with Tom Young and Shirley Cleary organizing the local Toys for Tots Program.

Together, we were able to provide a holiday to some 100 Gloucester City families. However, our efforts would not be possible without the help of so many individuals and organizations. We would like to thank Joanne Humerick Roberts and Todd Roberts for their annual Toys for Tots fundraiser. The event is held in honor of her son, Robert Dornbach, and I am certain their efforts each year must make him very proud.

Also, we would like to thank Westbrook Bowling Alley and K-Mart for the Giving Trees that provide gifts for so many children. The employees at both establishments are greatly appreciated for their efforts.

Finally, we could never do this each year without the help of Kathy and Ernie Genzano, Karen Lado and family, Rotary, Lions, Swim Club, Gloucester Catholic students and staff and Gloucester High students and staff.

Additionally, thanks to the private contributors who were kind enough to send a gift card or monetary donation, and the Gloucester Fire Department who aided in the collection and distribution of toys.

With an event of this size, it is the generosity of the citizens in this community that make it a reality.

The economy has made this holiday more difficult than most, and the number of children that enjoyed Christmas morning due to these contributions help us remember the joy of giving. We express our sincere appreciation for everyone who contributed to the effort in some way.
