On December 21, 2009. Age 81. Of Haddon Township. Formerly of Barrington for over 50 years. Devoted and loving husband of 49 years to Virginia A. (nee Marnie) Loving father of Mark (Margaret) Harris and Karen (William) Hosey. Loving grandfather of Brian, Scott and Kathryn Harris and Lauren and Katelyn Hosey. Dear brother of Jean Hoffman.
Jim was raised in Oaklyn and graduated from Collingswood High School. He proudly served our Country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Jim retired after 36 years as an accountant for Sun Oil Company in Philadelphia. After retirement, he worked as a funeral assistant for the Holl-Rodenbeck Livery Company, servicing many local funeral homes in South Jersey and the Philadelphia area.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Monday morning from 9 to 11 am at Barrington’s First Presbyterian Church: 401 Clements Bridge Road, Barrington, NJ 08007. Funeral service officiated by Pastor Edmund Jones will begin at 11 am in the church. At the request of the family, cremation will be private. Inurnment Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
