Surrounded by his loving family, on December 28, 2009. Age 90. Of Woodbury Hts. Formerly of Gloucester City. Devoted and loving husband of 62 years to Mary E. (nee Cooney). Loving Father of John (Peggy) Jablonowski, Patricia (John) Wilson, Maryellen (Michael) Kidd and Lisa (John) Orsino. Loving grandfather of Michael Jablonowski, Amy Petrillo, John and Alicia Wilson, Dana, Karen and Michael Kidd, Daniel, Nicholas and Joshua Orsino. Loving great-grandfather of Sara, Molly, Emily, Dominic, Jack, Ashley, Alex and Jacob.
Henry proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Townsend C. Young VFW Post # 3620 in Gloucester City. He was employed over 40 years for Food Fair in Philadelphia. After retirement, Henry drove a bus for special needs children for St. John of God School in Westville Grove and was a crossing guard in Gloucester City. Henry enjoyed his time as an umpire for little league baseball and softball in Haddon Heights, Gloucester City and National Park. He enjoyed his summers in N. Wildwood at Ed’s Funcade. Henry celebrated his 90th birthday at the Phillies game watching his favorite team play. He was fond of watching old western movies on TV.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his viewing on Thursday morning from 9 to 11 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon at St. Margaret’s R.C. Church: 334 Beech Ave, Woodbury Hts. Interment with Military Honors New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
