The ceremony was conducted by Public Safety Director John Bollinger.

Councilman Lou DiAngelo said the Bellmawr Purple Eagles 2009 season is coming to an end.

In a separate interview, Purple Eagles President Steve Hagerty said most of the teams have a chance to make the post-season.

In his Mayor’s Report, Mayor Frank Filipek Sr. also congratulated the EMTs, adding the Borough is preparing for the 2009 edition of Christmas In the Park, to be held December 11-13.

Filipek continued by asking if any residents have any decorations they wish to donate to the Borough for the event, they will be gladly accepted.

During the public forum, resident William Kern stated that no less than 20, with ties to Bellmawr’s Planning and Zoning boards, did not file a Financial Disclosure Statement by the July 8, 2009 cutoff. He added that a complaint had been filed in Trenton to that effect.

The Mayor said none of those Board Members draw a salary for their work, adding the matter will be looked into on Mr. Kern’s behalf.

Under Communications, thank you letters were read from the following:

Bellmawr Schools Superintendent Annette Castiglione, for use of the Bellmawr Showmobile for the Betty Sheppard Memorial Park Dedication on October 1, and for their attendance; and Gloucester City Administrator Jack Lipsett, for use of the Showmobile for the Shamrock Festival and Gloucester Day.

A thank you phone call was received at Borough Hall recently, by Runnemede resident Glen Robinson, thanking Bellmawr EMS for responding to a medical situation involving his girlfriend.

He touted the professionalism and caring of the ambulance crew, in transporting her to a local hospital.
