Elijah Garrison Williams, age 32, of Salisbury MD, formerly of Camden City NJ, Died do to Traffic Accident


SALISBURY -- Elijah Garrison Williams, 32, of Salisbury died Friday, July 24, 2009, as a result of an accident involving an automobile.

Born in Camden, N.J., he was the son of Michael G. Ray of Camden and Lois Williams and Frederick P. Henry of Salisbury.

He was employed as a laborer at Stanley Steamer in Salisbury.

In addition to his father, mother and stepfather, he will be lovingly missed by a son, Parris Elijah Williams of Princess Anne; a daughter, Elasha Monique Williams of Princess Anne; two brothers, Sherron (Arlene) Williams of Salisbury and Elton C. Ray of Westville, N.J; seven sisters, LaKesha S. Williams, Nyisha S. Williams, Arleea S. Williams, Monika S. Williams, Danielle S. Williams and Destiny S. Henry, all of Salisbury, and Siana China-Marie Carr of Newark, Del.; parental grandmother, Peggy McDaniels of Lindenwold, N.J; four uncles, Elton C. Ray, Sr., Jonathan Ray and Earl Little, all of Camden, and Rodney (Laurie) Ray of Willingboro, N.J; three aunts, Alverna (Kenneth) Warrington and Naomi (Rodney) Spence, all of Salisbury, and Portia Ellis of Ocean City, N.J; and a host of cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

His maternal grandmother, Leola Mae Williams, preceded him in death.

Mr. Williams will lie in state at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, PA, at 1618 West Road in Salisbury on Saturday from 10-11 a.m., at which time the funeral service will begin. Pastor YoVanda Ray Jenkins will officiate. Interment will be in Green Acres Memorial Park on West Road in Salisbury.
