Several Borough employees were on hand at the recent Bellmawr Council meeting to receive certification from the State PEOSHA representative.
Anthony Valente of the NJ Department of Labor made the presentations recognizing completion of a 10-hour outreach program.
Valente, with Councilman Jim D’Angelo, distributed the cards to employees on hand, including Highway Superintendent Joseph L. Ciano and Sewer Superintendent George Coleman.
Valente explained the intensiveness of the course, and Councilman D’Angelo spoke of the great respect he has for the Borough employees, and their knowledge of their job.
Echoing his sentiments were Councilpersons John Bollinger, Lou Di Angelo, and Regina Piontkowski, along with President Steve Sauter, who chaired the meeting as Mayor Frank Filipek Sr. is still recuperating from hip surgery.
Under committee reports, Councilman John Bollinger stated the Police, Fire and Ambulance departments are all running smoothly.
Councilman Peter DiGiambattista said Bellmawr is still waiting for word from the State Department of Consumer Affairs regarding the municipal budget.
