SCENA, Anna (nee Abate) also known as Annie Abbott, passed away peacefully at her home in Oaklyn, NJ. She was 97 years old. She was the beloved wife of the late Dominic (Burr) Scena and mother of the late Richard. Anna is survived by her loving daughters Ursula Hofmann (John) of Paulsboro, Nancy Schaefer (Allen) of Haddon Twp and daughter-in-law Joy Scena of Daleville, AL. She is the dear grandmother of 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews. Anna grew up in Camden and graduated from Camden Catholic HS in 1930 where she was in the play "High Jinks". She enjoyed going to the movies and attending the Archway Senior Center. She had a great sense of humor and will be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Aloysius Church, 37 W. Haddon Ave., Oaklyn, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM with interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. There is no evening viewing. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Mrs. Scena's name be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
