Spencer Thanks His Supporters

Gloucester City News -I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for all the voters of the First Ward who took the time to vote in the Primary Election on Tuesday, June 2.

Most importantly, I would like to thank those who expressed confidence and trust in me by electing me to be the Democratic candidate in the First Ward.

To my family, my son Daniel, my brother Randall, who were there for me through the entire campaign and Valerie, I love you all and appreciate your caring and compassion.

I would like to especially thank all those who worked so very hard on our campaign, and to all who contributed in time, talent, and treasure. I sincerely applaud the efforts of my running mates, incumbent Councilman Nick Marchese and Councilman Jay Brophy. Both of these public servants are outstanding family men, professionals, and community minded individuals. We are very fortunate to have such caring gentlemen who place the people of Gloucester City above all else. I look forward to working with Nick and Jay, along with Mayor James and the other members of Council for a more prosperous Gloucester City.

I would like to express my thanks to Sheriff Chuck Billingham, who walked with me in our old neighborhoods of Hudson and Middlesex Streets, where we both grew up. We reminisced some fine and happy memories of our boyhood days there!

I offer my congratulations to the First Ward Democrat County Committee members who were elected; Bob Saunders, Patrick Hagan, Anna Marie Smith, and Carol Stafford. I appreciate their good counsel and guidance as I worked and campaigned through the First Ward with them.

I thank all those who gave up their time at our First Ward Friends Night, and who helped to get their friends out to vote for me on Primary Day!

To those I may have missed, I will be out knocking on doors and campaigning again in the fall to ask for your support and vote in the November election.

I would also like to congratulate and offer my best wishes to Shawn Green and his family, who worked and campaigned for what they believe in. Shawn is a young man who has Gloucester City in his heart, and I am sure he will continue to do what he can to help our great City!

Now is a time for us all in Gloucester City to come together and work for what is best for our community. Gloucester people are THE BEST and come together when we have to I am committed to helping the good people in our city in anyway I can if it is within my power and resources.

Thank you once again for you’re allowing me this opportunity to serve you, once again.

Dan Spencer, First Ward Council Candidate
