DoD Identifies Army Casualty The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sgt. Timothy A. A Catholic high school for Glouco is deferred | Philadelphia Inquirer | 06/26/2009. Walton said the diocese believes the school is needed given population growth in the county. Families also have expressed support for the proposed school, he noted. The on-hold status gives a reprieve to Gloucester Catholic High School, an 81-year-old institution that educates about 750 students and is located in Gloucester City, Camden County. HARRISBURG – Chronic wasting disease (CWD) was not detected in samples taken from hunter-killed deer during the state’s 2008 hunting season, according to Dr. Walt Cottrell, Pennsylvania Game Commission wildlife veterinarian. In 2008, 4,224 samples from hunter-killed deer were tested, and CWD was not detected. This marked the seventh year for testing hunter-killed deer. In total, more than 22,000 deer have been tested. CWD was not detected in any samples from previous years. Roe today announced the agency will award 1,780 permits for the 2009-10 bobcat hunting/furtaking seasons at a public drawing in its Harrisburg headquarters on Friday, Sept. 11. The 80-minute teaching blocks are designed around a central theme, and this one was “Colonial Life,” Fifth Grade Teacher Jennifer Packer said. Packer then showcased her students, who spoke on several topics, including Yellow Fever, selected essays, book choices and book structure. Following the flag salute, invocation and welcoming comments, the evening was turned over to Master of Ceremonies Tom Gurick, WOGL FM air personality, former Camden County Freeholder, and Gloucester City native. Ms. Louisa Llewellyn, School Board president, will present diplomas to graduates of the Class of 2009 of Gloucester City High School at Commencement exercises Monday, June 22, at 6:30 p.m. The ceremony will be at the John A. Lynch Memorial Field, located behind the high school, Market Street and Route 130. In the event of inclement weather, commencement will be moved indoors to the new gymnasium. Dr. Jack L.
