Coxe Withdraws from Gloucester Democrat Primary
Wednesday, May 27, 2009
To the Democrats of the Second Ward, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you today that I am withdrawing from the Democratic Primary on June 2. I apologize for the timing of this withdrawal, but after much thought and deliberation, I feel it is best. My commitments to work and family are drawing greater attention and I must dedicate my time to them.
That being said, I ask you, before you cast your ballot on Election Day, ask yourself, are you satisfied with the work that has been done over the last three years? Look at your tax bill, look at your neighborhood, look at the services you receive from the city and ask, over the last three years, have any of them improved as you were told they would?
This is a turning point for Gloucester City and the Democrat Party. Upon reflection on these questions, I would ask that you cast your vote accordingly, for a better Gloucester City and a stronger Democratic Party.
