At 1:55 am, the Bellmawr Fire Deparment
was disptached for a dwelling fire in the 500 unit block of Majestic Avenue between Cedar and the
boro line.
Squad 32 arrived with heavy fire throughout from a one and a half
story single family dwelling and requested the all-hands be placed in service.
Command, Scottie Kinbler also requested an additional engine and ladder to the
scene for manpower.
Shared services were provided from Barrington, Mount Ephraim, Runnemede, Magnolia, Haddon Heights and Westville.
Crews placed numerous hand lines in
service to extinguish the fire that
was contained to the second floor. The
fire was brought under control a little over the one hour mark. All occupants
of the dwelling were accounted for and there were no injuries reported on
scene.
The fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal's Office. This was the second fire for the Bellmawr Fire Deparment with-in 24 hours. The two fires do not appear to be related.
