On January 27, 2009, Age 89. (nee Przeradzki). Of Gloucester City.
Known to many, As “Regina The Hat”, Passed into Eternal Life After a long illness cared for by her family. Pre-deceased by her parents Konstanty and Konstancija Przeradzki, her sisters, Helen Hoffman and Jane Woods and her devoted husband of 58 years, Matthew S. Wojtkowiak. Survived by her loving children: Connie Wilke and husband Alvin, Matthew S. II and wife Diane and Regina Marie Butterworth and husband John. Beloved grandmother of Joseph Wilke, Suzanne Wilke McNally, Matthew S. III and wife Kristin, Anthony S. Wojtkowiak, Jeanine Butterworth, Philip Butterworth. Cherished great-grandmother of Alex and Elysia McNally and Sara Wojtkowiak. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also, her special friends Betty Whittle, Bea Bennett and Angela Florentino.
Regina (PHOTO) graduated from Gloucester Catholic High School in 1938 and Strayers Business School for bookkeeping. She was a bookkeeper for Scott-Powell Dairy Company in Gloucester City. She was often seen in her father’s shoe repair shop or her mother candy store. Regina was a life long parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church. She was a member of the Polish American Congress and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas: Court Giese # 439. Regina was active in the PTA organizations at Saint Mary’s Grammar School, Gloucester Catholic High School, Brown Street School and Gloucester City High School. Regina enjoyed going to musical theater shows, writing for letters to movie stars and collecting autographed photos and she was a big fan of the Polish American String Band.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend her viewing on Friday Evening from 7 to 9 pm and Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth Street, (at Brown Street) Gloucester City. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am at Saint Mary’s R.C. Church: 426 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
