Sweet Sixteen Girls' Basketball Clinics

Edison, N.J. – The Mercer County Sports &
Entertainment Commission has partnered
with MAAC, Rider University and
Seton Hall University to conduct two basketball clinics on Saturday,
January 10 (at Seton Hall) and Sunday, January 25 (at Rider). Girls in
grades six through eight are invited to to participate in both events
which include a two hour skills clinic followed by a women's basketball
game at the host school. Additionally clinic attendees will receive a
ticket discount coupon for tickets to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen ® taking place Sunday, March 29 and Tuesday, March 31 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ.
Seton Hall University will host the first clinic from 11am-1pm on January 10, 2009. Head women's basketball coach Phyllis Mangina and the Pirates will make an appearance. Following the clinic at 2pm the Pirates will take on the Marquette Golden Eagles.
Rider University will host a second clinic from 11am-1pm on January 25, 2009. Head women's basketball coach Lynn Milligan and the Broncs will make an appearance. Following the clinic at 2pm, the Broncs will play host to Siena College Saints.
