 MAAC Sports Release: 12/16/2008:

MAAC Sports Edison, NJ - The Girls in the Game basketball clinic at Siena College has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. The clinic, originally scheduled for December 14, was postponed due to widespread power outages in the Albany area.

Girls in the Game is an exciting initiative that aims to involve young girls grade 4-8 in athletics, specifically basketball, at an early age. For just $10, participants are given entrance to four events that make up the Girls in the Game program, including three women’s basketball contests. The featured games will be played on Friday, January 9 and Friday, January 16.

On Friday the 9th, Siena College will take on the Rider Broncs at the Times Union Center in Albany at 4:30 p.m. One week later, the Saints return to UHY Court to face Iona College, with tip-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

The pinnacle of the Girls in the Game program is the MAAC Women’s Championship game, which is slated for a 12:00 p.m. start on Sunday, March 8th at the Times Union Center.
