Emma A. "Tootsie" Comly, 85, formerly of Bellmawr

Funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph’s Church, Sea Isle City for Emma A. Comly, (nee Ulrick), 85, of Sea Isle City, formerly of Bellmawr, who passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2008.

Emma, also known as Tootsie or Catherine, lived in Bellmawr for 33 years before retiring in 1986 to “Comly’s Summer Place”. She was a good neighbor and friend who watched over 45th Street.

Mrs. Comly is survived by her three children, Helen Jane Weiss, Patricia Ann Whildin Murray (Bud), and William F. Comly, Jr., all of Sea Isle City; her sister, Anna Bisnett of Oklahoma; her sister-in-law, Sister Catherine Comly, SSJ of Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one 2nd great granddaughter. She was the cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49

years, William F. Comly, Sr., her two brothers, Leumuel and Ernest; and her sister, Ivie Trainer.

Burial will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, Cape May Court House.
