Mary Vasella, age 106, of Paulsboro, enjoyed trips of the casinos and her great-great-grandchildren

Mary Vasella (nee Iacovone) age 106
years of Paulsboro died after a brief illness Friday November 28, 2008
in her daughter’s home where she lived. Mrs. Vasella was born in
Philadelphia and lived in East Camden for several years before moving
to Paulsboro 30 years ago. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Vasella was a
member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Paulsboro. She
enjoyed crossword puzzles, cryptograms and playing cards. Mrs. Vasella
also enjoyed trips to the casinos and playing with her great great
grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela
Clement of Paulsboro; her grandchildren, Stephen and Arlene Clement of
Paulsboro, James and Cheri Clement of Gibbstown; her great
grandchildren, Stacy Kanauss, Eric Clement, James Clement and
Jacqueline Clement and her great great grandchildren, Luke, Alex,
Kelsey, Ryan and Averie. Mrs. Vasella was predeceased by her husband,
Frank Vasella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
at 10:30 AM Monday December 1, 2008 in St. John the Evangelist Church,
7th and Beacon Sts., Paulsboro. Friends may call after 9:30 AM in the
Church until Mass time. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
Arrangements under the direction of McBRIDE - FOLEY FUNERAL HOME,
Paulsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory
to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
