CAROL A. SHEAHAN, age 64 of Deptford, formerly of Mt. Ephraim

 Farewell Services were held for Carol A. Sheahan (nee Stutzenberg), 64, of Deptford, formerly of Mount Ephraim, who died October 5, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer.

    Carol leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family and community throughout her life. Born in Camden, Carol was a longtime resident of Mount Ephraim where she served on the Board of Education and was a member of the Mount Ephraim Democratic Club; and proudly served as the first woman President of the Lions Club in Mount Ephraim. Carol was also a member of the Brooklawn American Legion Post #72 Ladies Auxiliary.

    Carol worked as a clerk for the Camden County Board of Elections until her retirement in 1999 after more than 15 years of service.

    Away from her work, Carol cherished the time she spent with her family especially her children and grandchildren.

    Carol is the beloved wife of 24 years to Robert E. Sheahan. Devoted mother of Margaret "Peggy" Gillen (Michael); Michael Spates (Kelli), Douglas Spates (Jessica); Dennis Sheahan (Nancy); Cassandra Dingler (Timothy) and John Sheahan. Grandmother of Mikaila, Andrew, Jordan, Emma, John Paul, Sean, Melinda, Justin, Callie and Alaina. Great grandmother of 3. Her first husband Joseph Spates predeceases Carol.
