The 2008 Lion's title campaign started in Pitman Friday night (Sept.12th) as the heavily favored Lion's faced off against the Pitman Panthers with a 34 - 0 win. The battle in Pitman i s never easy, but throw in some rain showers and any advantage is gone. Somehow the Lion's through recent years have been able to overcome the home field advantage of the Panthers. Like a small child this game is a small step before the run toward the title.
