 A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Mary's R.C. Church, Gloucester City, for Beatrice V. (Bea) Monroe, (nee Krebs), 81, of Gloucester City, who died September 7, 2008.

    Beatrice was a 1945 graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School. She worked many years as a telephone operator for Glenview Answering Service. Beatrice was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Gloucester City.

    Loving wife of 49 years to the late Samuel G. Monroe. Devoted mother of Maryann (John) LaGesse, Sam C. Monroe, Mary Kathryn (Chris) Donegan and the late Rosemary (surviving Joe) Staudenmeyer. Beloved grandmother of 11.

    Funeral arrangements were under the direction of McCann-Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City. Interment was in New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
