Funeral for slain San Francisco Hells Angels leader draws 2,000 mourners

DALY CITY, Calif. — It was far from a quiet goodbye for a slain Hells Angel leader Mark (Papa) Guardado.

Monday's funeral for the 46-year-old president of the San Francisco chapter gunned down two weeks ago drew about 2,000 mourners, many driving some of the biggest, baddest, loudest Harleys ever.They came from across the United States, not to mention Alberta and even Stuttgart, Germany, and Melbourne, Australia.

The group then pulled away in a deafening roar on what police say may have been the largest motorcycle procession ever in the San Francisco Bay area.
